Happy Friday -- A Few Weekend Suggestions

It's Friday and time to plan for the weekend. We're planning on taking it easy and enjoying ourselves and the beautiful weather this weekend. If you're looking for some more organized things to do, here are some activities happening this weekend.

French Fun
Want to infuse a little foreign culture into your weekend? The Robert Goddard French Immersion School, in Lanham, is having a "Fun Fair" on Saturday, June 4.  They'll be serving authentic French crepes, and have a moon bounce, games and prizes. The fun fair is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you're an early riser, there will be a flea market starting at 8 a.m. For more information, Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Saturday Fun at the Library
On June 4, the Laurel library branch (507 7th Street Laurel, MD 20707;301-776-6790) is offering storytimes for dads and children under 36 months at 10:30 a.m. The Bladensburg branch (4820 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg, MD 20710; 301-927-4916) is offering a class on making healthy snacks at 2 p.m. For more information, contact each branch.


Painting Dogs
On Saturday, June 4, from 9:30 - 11:30, the city of Hyattsville will host Dogs for the Arts at Magruder Park. You can bring your dog to enter the paw painting competition or the best owner/dog look alike contest, or you can just show up to watch. And of course with all the lovely weather, just heading to a local park is fun.
