A free, fun princess tea party!

The Miss Greenbelt Pageant is having it's annual Princess Tea Party for children ages 2-10.  The event is free and lots of fun, but space is limited!

My daughter and I went last year and she had a blast. She got her nails done (with nail stickers; though if you feel your child's old enough for paint, they'll use nail polish too), played dressup and made a pretty picture frame with stickers (all supplies provided). We also got a bevy of sweet treats, including mini cupcakes, cookies and brownies. Yumma Yumma!

As I mentioned at the top, the tea party is associated with the Ms. Greenbelt Pageant. They do not do a hard sell of the pageant from beginning to end. They do take 5 minutes or so to talk about the pageant at the end, and they're very nice about it.  I hate when people try to convince my kids to sign me up for something and then I look like the jerk Momma for saying no (don't get me started on the ballet teacher who told all the kids to ask their parents if they could do the recital; and then they tell me the recital is $65 to participate. Umm, no. I do not like that). But, based on my prior experience, they talk to the group in general and don't do any hard-selling to the kids. And in case you're wondering, there is a fee to participate in the Ms. Greenbelt pageant.

The Princess Tea Party is June 10 from 2-4 pm. You have to e-mail them to confirm participation (do not just rsvp to the evite!).  Visit this evite for more information on the pageant. The Ms. Greenbelt website is www.missgreenbelt.com, if you're looking for more information. And, of course, you don't have to participate in the pageant to attend the tea. It's just a chance to have fun and get information on the pageant.

Have a great day!
